President's Message

Dear Website Guests,
I am honored and grateful to be chosen to serve as leader of our club this year.
Rotary is an organization of business and professional men and women united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
This year's motto is "The Future of Rotary is in YOUR Hands". The strength and impact of Rotary begins at the club level. As Rotarians, we all have an ability to advance the ideals of Rotary, the choice becomes will we. In the four years that I have been a part of Rotary Lafayette South I have experienced great service to the international and local community. I am very proud to be a member of this club. I would like to see our club continue and further our visibility in the community. There will always be a need for monetary assistance and as a club, we have and will continue to contribute to many worthwhile programs. However, there is also a need for "hands on" assistance and I hope as a Rotarian you will plan to be a part of the community projects in which the club chooses to participate. In our club, as in Rotary International, there are so many opportunities to practice "Service Above Self".
The future is in our hands and without each and every one of you Lafayette South and Rotary International cannot have the greatest impact that it can have as an organization. Thank you for everything you do for our club.
